About Empires Die...Life Evolves
Empires Die . . . Life Evolves is a project that both reflects and explores change: personal, social, political, and artistic change.
It is an epic hero's journey of an album and survival guide to living in these times, at once both intensely personal and communal. Empires Die...Life Evolves features an amazing 63 guest artist from around the world; on over 28 tracks, that while rooted in hip hop, also explore punk, reggae, funk, trap, electronica and industrial styles.
Recorded during a very tumultuous time in Plaedo's life, with a backstory worth telling, "Empires Die...Life Evolves" is Plaedo's Magnum Opus.

Press / Reviews
"Over the course of the album Plaedo’s thoughtful, socially conscious lyrics describe how one can rise above the things that destroy the environment and destroy communities. Lots of ideas are explored in great depth from how to tap into one’s inner passion, how to protest against oppressive systems, and how to dismantle these structures that work to take away people’s inner artistic sensibilities. Poetic in tone these are careful looks on what is currently wrong in the world and how a more sustainable, more positive way is possible. Songs are carefully woven together creating less of an album and more of a journey." - Beach Sloth Review
"Plaedo is a stopless human- rights advocate, virtuoso of silver tongued testimony, an outlaw buddha, a poor righteous teacher of forbidden knowledge and alternative learning streams. Freely planting seeds of wisdom, like the most conscientious and heartfelt, organic gardener. A Johnny Appleseed of ideas.”
