Plaedo has been a psychedelic enthusiast since his first trip on psilocybin mushrooms at 15 years old. By his second trip, the next weekend, he began facilitating journeys for others. Since then, over the past 25 years, Plaedo has felt a calling to work with psychedelic medicines in the pursuit of healing and empowerment.
Plaedo is the facilitator of the popular series of events, “Psychonautical Chronicles: Trip Reports from the Psychedelic Renaissance” a group storytelling, wisdom sharing and meaning making experience. A profound yet playful journey through engaging, often hilarious storytelling as he explores medicines like Psilocybin, LSD, DMT, Mescaline, MDA/MDMA, Ayahuasca, 5-MEO, and Ketamine across ceremonial, therapeutic, and recreational contexts. Through these vivid trip reports, Plaedo weaves personal experience with scientific research and traditional wisdom, offering insights into both the potential benefits and risks of working with these powerful medicines. Beyond a lecture attendees are brought into the journey, encouraged to ask questions as well as share their wisdom as community around psychedelic healing, exploration and empowerment is cultivated.”
For the right client, Plaedo will also offer preparation and integration sessions for people engaging in psychedelic therapy. Although Plaedo helped start and trained with Subtle Winds, he does not currently practice psychedelic facilitation sessions for clients.
