From the recording Learning Adventures in Love and Revolution

*There's a scene in an old documentary, Jean Dominique says of the Haitian Revolution, "You Could Smell It in The Air". The oldest song on the album, it was recorded as I studied radical historical protest movements. My good friend Matt Quijote, who'm I met at a social justice club, crafted this amazing beat over a spoken word recording. It was the first recorded song I was ever really proud of. And I still use it at times. I even thought I came close to smelling revolution, performing this song at Marches during the early heady days of Occupy.
